Torquay, Victoria

Well known for its surfing industry, it is also the start of Great Ocean Road. During the 2012-13 year Torquay had the largest Victorian population growth of 800 for the year. At the 2011 Census, Torquay had a population of 10,142 and a median age of 38. As a popular tourist destination the population swells by over 20,000 during the summer vacation.
